When we provide young Kenyans with scholarships so they can complete their secondary schooling, we tell them that they don’t owe anything to their sponsor or to the Red Rubber Ball Foundation.

We just ask them to ‘Pay it Forward’ – that means doing something for someone else in their community; helping out someone else in need.

That applies right now more than ever.  So its fantastic to see community leader, Moses Omondi, who was one of our sponsored students doing great work.

He and friends set up the Kibera Community Emergency Response initiative, to provide food and hygiene packs to families in Kibera during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Here’s a feature about their work on NTV from Nation Media Group in Kenya .
